Mary Callaghan is a communications and marketing professional with 15 years of experience within healthcare, education, athletics, technology and nonprofit sectors.

Beginning her career in high-tech public relations, Mary took her passion for advancing corporate brands to Boston Children’s Hospital, where she supported the hospital’s corporate partners. There she developed a greater interest in fundraising and child development, and went on to help launch and fund a charter school serving at-risk youth within the Boston Public Schools. This role honed her skills in effective grant and speech writing, internal and external communications, corporate and individual fundraising, graphic design and branding. After three years, she brought these learnings back to Boston Children’s and joined the Development Communications team, providing communications, writing and marketing strategy to her former corporate team and partners.

In 2016, Mary was recruited to lead the Marketing and Development Communication efforts at Team IMPACT, a national nonprofit that addresses the social isolation of childhood illness by matching courageous kids with college athletic teams. There she developed the voice and brand of the organization across marketing, program and development channels; crafted marketing messages for use in donor solicitation and stewardship, family and team recruitment, and corporate initiatives and events; and became the primary writer for all organizational needs.

Mary also has 10+ years of experience managing logistics and creating content for small and large events, including print and digital collateral, scripts, speeches, video production, room design, and coordination of media, sponsors and VIP guests, ranging from professional athletes and musicians to government officials and Fortune 500 CEOs.
